Department Responsibilities:
The Register of Deeds office is where all transactions dealing with land in our county are recorded. This office maintains and preserves these records so the public is made aware of their existance. Among the various documents recorded in this office are: deeds, mortgages, easements, surveys, death certificates, oil & gas leases, assignments and releases, tax liens, UCCs and military discharges.
