Fees
Municipal Solid Waste: $38 per ton
Construction & Demolition Waste: $22 per ton
Brush and scrap metal: $6 per ton
Appliances: $2 each – Freon must be removed
Tires: $2 per passenger tire without rim, other prices vary depending on tire size
Minimum charge of $4 per load
Recycling
Recycled Items are accepted free of charge from county residents. Items must be clean however labels do not need to be removed.
• Paper: newspaper, magazines, cardboard, office paper, junk mail
• Plastic: pop bottles, water bottles, milk jugs, butter tubs, laundry bottles, grocery bags
• Tin cans
• Aluminum cans
• Glass
• Automotive batteries
• Motor oil
• E-waste: Computers, printers, TVs, VCRs, telephones, fax machines, cameras, calculators, game boys, cords, power supplies, microwaves, hair dryers, etc. (Charge assessed to businesses only for monitors and TVs.)
Recycling Collection Trailer
For your convenience, Anderson County maintains a recycling collection trailer that is routed between six communities within the county on a monthly basis. County residents are invited to place their recyclable materials in the trailer while it is located in the community closest to them. We request that recyclables be clean, separated and unbagged with lids removed prior to placing in the trailer. Materials accepted include the following:
• Magazines
• Newspaper
• Cardboard
• Aluminum cans
• Milk jugs
• Pop bottles
• Water bottles

Household Hazardous Waste
Household Hazardous Waste Items can be dropped off and reusable items are available for distribution free of charge on Tuesdays during normal hours
